This house is located in the Warmoestuin, a project that was realized by Collective Private Commissioning (CPO). This is a form of social project development in which residents are joint clients for their new-build project. The aim of the residents is to realize a sustainable, green, social living environment. The residents can take initiatives and make proposals for the use or furnishing of common land and shared properties, including the large barn with the common work area.
The Warmoestuin is part of Rijswijk Buiten and is located in Sion, a hamlet on the border of Schipluiden, Rijswijk and Delft. Since Sion is a former horticultural area, the 'green past' is now being expanded upon. In addition to an amphitheater and play areas, the residents jointly maintain a few vegetable gardens, a herb circle, vegetable greenhouses, an orchard with a large jetty, communal seating areas and various ornamental gardens. Very special, such a green oasis in the busy Randstad.

The most innovative techniques were used in the construction of this district, such as optimal insulation, solar panels, heat recovery and heat pumps. The facades are covered with planks made from recycled bottle caps. Biodiversity and attracting bees are taken into account when planting the various gardens. The communality manifests itself, for example, on the fortnightly gardening day. But there are also parties and an annual 'open stage'. There is a "Warmoespost" where residents share news and knowledge.
